📷 8th Annual GNPA-OIWC Photo Contest

Honored to have three images selected for ribbons in the 8^th Annual Georgia Nature Photographers Association-Oatland Island Wildlife Center Photo Contest.  My image, Pink Pony Club, won the Coastal Wildscapes category.  OIWC Red Fox placed 3^rd in the “Found at Oatland Island Wildlife Center” category and Hunting in the Grass received an Honorable Mention.

The Contest Exhibit showcases the mission of the Oatland Island Wildlife Center to connect visitors with notable experiences that help give them stronger connections to the natural world. The winning images for all categories are on display through January 2027.  My images are also available for purchase.

I am exhibiting several entries as part of the Coastal Photographers Guild’s Big Photo Show at Glynn Visual Arts, St. Simons Island, Georgia.  The exhibit runs through September 30.  My entries "Untamed Eyes" and "Torres Del Paine" won 2nd place in the Nature and Scapes categories, respectively.  Stop by the Gallery and see the incredible images of southeast Georgia's local photographers.

Excited to share that my image, “Queen of Her Territory,” was accepted for inclusion in Photo ArtFolio’s Global Nature Photography Exhibition – “Wild.”

Am proud to share that, for the 2^nd year in a row, one of my photos made the final round of judging for the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.  My photo, “Feeding Frenzy,” was among the top 10% out of 65,403 entries submitted.  Only 100 entries are selected from the final round as winning images.  Hosted by the British Natural History Museum each year since 1965.

I will be exhibiting photos at the Brunswick-Glynn County Library for the month of April as part of an exhibition featuring members of the Coastal Photographers Guild. All prints are available for purchase. The library is located at 208 Gloucester Street, Brunswick, Georgia.

This month, I am exhibiting 2 prints as part of the Coastal Photographers Guild exhibit at the Horton Gallery located on the Brunswick Campus of the Southeast Georgia Health System. All prints are available for purchase and a portion of any sale supports the Health System Foundation.  

2025 Year in Review.  This year took me farther than I could have imagined—different continents, honing my skills, epic wildlife sightings, and creative milestones. Travel wasn’t just about new places; it was about new perspectives, stories, and moments worth sharing.

Along the way, I’m deeply grateful to have had my photography recognized through several accolades this year. Each one is a reminder that the quiet hours behind the lens, the early mornings, late days, and constant curiosity truly matter.

Grateful for the recognition, the opportunities, and to my family, who made this year extraordinary. Here’s to more stories and more meaningful frames in the year ahead.  Happy Holidays everyone!

📷7^th Annual GNPA-OIWC Photo Contest.

I recently had two images selected as finalists in the 7^th Annual Georgia Nature Photographers Association-Oatland Island Wildlife Center Photo Contest.   Incredibly honored to have “Exploring” selected as the Tier 1 First Place winner in the Coastal Wildscapes category and “Simplicity” as the third place winner! Tier 1 entries were reserved for photographers that have mastered the use of camera settings, have 3 or more years of photography experience, and strive to use light, focus/blur, and composition in compelling ways.

The Contest Exhibit showcases the mission of the Oatland Island Wildlife Center to connect visitors with notable experiences that help give them stronger connections to the natural world.  The winning images for all categories are on display through January 2026.  My images are also available for purchase.

Gallery Exhibition, September 2025 – Jekyll Island Arts Association Gallery Exhibition featuring the Coastal Photographers Guild.  Goodyear Cottage, Jekyll Island, Georgia.

Exhibiting several entries as part of the Coastal Photographers Guild’s Big Photo Show at SoGlo Gallery, Brunswick, Georgia.  Runs through July 2025.

Was thrilled to learn that my photo, Sago Palm Black Racer II, made the final round of judging for the 2024 Wildlife Photographer of the Year.  In the final round 6,215 images were selected out of 60,000+ submissions.  Only 100 entries are selected from the final round as winning images.  Hosted by the British Natural History Museum each year since 1965.

My photo, Sago Palm Black Racer II, was selected as a Top 250 winner in the 14th Annual "Share the View" International Nature Photography Competition.

I had several photographs selected as finalists in the Friends of Sapelo Coastal Georgia Photography Contest. Enjoyed meeting so many photographers and friends of Sapelo Island at the reception for the exhibit. Incredibly honored to have “On The Move” selected as the Grand Prize overall winner! The exhibit showcases the beauty of coastal Georgia and is on display at The Old Jail Art Center in Darien, GA through November 2024.

My photos "Heading Home" and "Patches" were runner-ups in the 2017 Kiawah Through the Lens Photo Contest.  Published in the Kiawah Island Club Spring Legends Magazine, 2017, v. 27, p. 131 and 132.
